1) Click Assets tab on the left side of the screen.
2) Click New asset
3) Select Create trailer
4) Enter the following required fields:
- Trailer Number
- Trailer Type
- Weight (empty weight of trailer)
- Length
- Current Location
This is where the current location of the trailer will show when status is updated by drivers. When adding a new trailer, we need the address where the trailer is currently sitting.
- Mileage
- Starting Zip Code
This can and should match the above current location at the start. This will help us calculate your mileage in the future.
- Registration Number
- Registration State
- Registration Date
Entering these will help us remind you of upcoming registration renewals.
5) Enter the following optional fields:
- Upload a photo of the trailer
- Indicate if the trailer is Air-Ride equipped
- Make
- Model
- Year
- Weight Capacity (if you'd like to limit the weight loaded onto the trailer)
6) Click Save
Now you can hook to a truck if you wish.
