1) Click the Assets tab on the left side of the screen.
2) Click New asset
3) Select Truck
4) Enter the following required fields:
- Truck Number
- Weight (empty weight of the truck)
- Current Location
You need to enter the starting location(address) of your truck here. After you've dispatched the truck, this is where the current location will be indicated as your driver updates statuses.
- Starting Mileage
- Starting Location
This will be the same address as above. We'll use this address in the future to help calculate mileage.
- Registration Number
- Registration State
- Registration Date
We use this information to help keep you reminded of when registrations need to be updated annually.
5) Optionally, you can add:
- A photo of the truck
- Make
- Model
- Year
- Color
6) Click Save
Now you can assign a driver and/or hook a trailer.
